It doesn’t get much better than this!

12 09 2011

Dear Nicole, Natalie, Naomi, Paula & the entire Leishman Associates team,

I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you so much for your tireless effort in organising the Vow Financial conference in Fiji. The feedback from our clients, sponsors and staff has been truly magic. I believe that this was our best conference ever and you all played a major part in its success! Everything ran smoothly and adapting to situations out of our control (i.e weather) was flawless. Our biggest marketing event of the year was executed perfectly because of your hard work and dedication in putting together a world class conference

I look forward to working with all of you for our National Conference in 2012! We already have a few suggestions for you..

Another big thank you to all of you – you really are superstars!

cheers,

Matt Mitchener, Marketing Manager, VOW Financial

We are not at the endof the financial year, and LA has secured $1.6M  in sponsorship for our clients for our 2011 conferences.

Well done to Natasha for an oustanding job. Our sponsors like the service to. Nice words from a happy customer …

Thanks Natasha – efficient as always, such a pleasure to deal with you.  I wish more company’s arranging these things could be the same.

Is your conference manager delivering these types of results for your conference. If not, call Leishman Associates, we’re only too happy to help.

$1.1 million in five months

18 05 2011

That’s how much sponsorship Natasha Stagg and the team at Leishman Associates have sold in sponsorship and exhibition income for our clients. This is such an important part of conference management, it makes the job that much easier knowing that there is good financial support.
Well done Tash. Great job.

AUSTRALIAN MILITARY MEDICINE ASSOCIATION AND JOURNAL OF VETERANS & MILITARY HEALTH

6 03 2011

On Saturday I spent a day with the Council of AMMA. This Association has been my client since 1996. This year is AMMA’s 20th anniversary. Being involved in an association for this length of time creates such great opportunities. During the time they have developed a scientific journal on veterans health. Publication costs are expensive and we are looking at ways to create additional income streams for the association to fund this important publication.   Anyone know of a company or organisation who would like to fund the journal. We need $30K per annum. Not a huge amount given the benefit to our defence force and also the general public.

FIRST CONFERENCE FOR THE YEAR

19 02 2011

280 POLYMER SCIENTISTS IN COFFS HARBOUR

It was our first event for the year, and 280 Polymer Scientists from 20 countries around the world gathered in Coffs Harbour for a 3 day conference and social gatherings.

The venue was Novotel Coffs Harbour and they were welcoming, the grounds beautiful – but the weather not so kind. High humidity and rain…but as one delegate said “this is great, where I’ve come from its 25 below”!

The annual Australasian Polymer Symposium which has for the last five years been managed by Leishman Associates continues to grow in numbers, an attraction for leading scientists from around the world, and commercial support from industry.

Over 120 presentations were made as well as three social activities. The science was well researched and delivered, and the highlight of the social program was the conference dinner at the beautiful Bonville International Golf Course. Thanks to Brad and Damien for their professional service.

Congratulations to convenor, Associate Professor Martina Stenzel. We look forward to the 33APS – which will be in our home town of Hobart.

MONA is open – come and check it out

22 01 2011

The much anticipated opening of MONA – Museum of Old and New Art happened on Friday 21 January with great fanfare. 2000 invited guests travelled by ferry from the city to arrive at the new jetty and entrance to the rooftop garden outside the entrance to the museum. David Walsh the owner and architects have done an amazing job. The surrounding area is an amazing space and as an event manager I can’t wait to have visiting groups come and experience it. Then you walk inside the museum; the entry level is welcoming, comfortable chairs, and a bookshop for those wishing to take home a memento; then you walk down the spiral stairs or take the lift. Head straight to the basement level – 3 floor below ground for the true subterranean experience. Be amazed at the beautiful sandstone wall, the very decadent bar and inviting chairs, just to sit and enjoy a Moorilla wine before embarking on the journey of the museum. There are hidden nooks and turns everywhere in the museum, and when you think you’ve done it all, you find another area with more amazing pieces. The collection is very eclectic and certainly very viewable for everyone. Sidney Nolan’s Snake is outstanding and housed with only a few other pieces to give it a rightful place. When you come up from underground, bring along a rug, sit on the grass, enjoy some great Moorilla wine or a Moo Brew and while away a few hours.

This is an amazing place to visit and will be the best new event space in Australia.  Call Leishman Associates to create a memorable experience for you at MONA.

It’s the 7th January already – I remember when it was the 7th January 2010 – and it only seems like a few weeks ago. Where does the time go. This is our first week back at Leishman Associates are already we are into the full swing of things.

The town of Hobart is buzzing with the impending opening of MONA. Leishman Associates are handling all the accommodation requirements for incoming guests, artists and performers – so its very exciting. So therefore our year of events begins on 21 January – and goes right through until December. 2011 is going to be another great year.

Everyone is well rested and looking forward to working with our clients.
